Dawn
 Dawn is a 1 1/2 year old Pit Bull Mix. She is a very affectionate young lady who has a lifetime to show any family lucky enough to adopt her just how special she is. She loves to play and is a great walking partner. Dawn loves everyone and is good with cats and even likes to play with other doggies (as long as they aren't too big or too rough). She has been at the shelter for just about a year now and is eager to find a forever family.
A beautiful and sleek boy, Bama is calm, serene and collected. He has the most amazing and observant expressions - wise beyond his years. Strikingly handsome, he will be an asset to any family. Bama is between 2-3 years old and is ready for a new beginning.

The shelter that gets the most votes on it's website gets a $25,000.00 grant, second place gets $15,0000.00 and the winner of each state gets $1,000.00! Please help us raise operating funds and funds for our new building. You can vote once from each computer everyday until December 15, 2008. Tell all your animal loving friends and remember to vote each day until the deadline. The animals are counting on you.
Go to www.theanimalrescuesite.com and click the big purple button that says "click here to give- it's free"
Then at the top of the next page you'll see a banner to vote for a shelter. Click on the "vote now" button within the banner.
You'll then see a screen to fill in, type in "The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach", select SC for state, then type "North Myrtle Beach" for city info and click search.
The Shelter should be listed within that box at the bottom, click on the vote button.
Enter the type of animal in the picture on the next screen, and click confirm vote.

The Humane Society operates the North Myrtle Beach Animal Shelter.
409 Bay St. North Myrtle Beach.
Our hours of operation are:
11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday
11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
We are closed to the public on Sunday and Monday.
