Each year the shelter receives hundreds of cats and dogs. The shelter staff works hard to care for them and find them permanent, loving, "forever" homes. |
Adoption Fees:
- Regular: $70 ($50 if the animal arrived at the shelter already spayed or neutered)
- Senior (60 years & older): $55
- Wednesday Special: $55
Adoption Fees Include:
- Spay or neuter (surgery is completed before going home)
- At least one set of shots and worming
- Rabies vaccination if the animal is at least 12 weeks old
- Dogs 4 months and older are tested for heartworm
- All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia
- Medical records
- Information on health care and training tips
- "Care Kit"
- Free bag of pet food, compliments of Kal-Kan

All animals adopted into the City of North Myrtle Beach are required to have a city license. The fee is $5.00 annually for altered animals. Licenses must be purchased at the time of adoption.
Reduced rates are offered during Be Kind to Animals Week in May, Adopt a Cat Month in June, and Adopt a Dog Month in October. Check our Calendar of Events for exact dates.
